I’ve spent the last couple of hours

Reading blogs and comments of dreams, wishes, what is, what was, what will be. The words you write, the pictures you show, stay with me and brighten, inspire, and motivate my day.

There is a certain kinship that forms through words written each day. An understanding of some sort. There is comfort and provoking of thought.

There was:

Cat who was ’craft lucky’

The Vicar’s Wife with poetic perspective

LA on the Wrong Side of 50 who really got me thinking about ‘smart’

The Chatter Blogs’s peace inducing words of comfort

And someone – I can’t remember who – wrote about Bucket Lists and how living what would be on your bucket list might best be looked after today as tomorrow has no guarantees. ** must say I awoke at 4 this morning quite chipper but now 5+ hours later not so much!

And of course JB whose post yesterday here on AWA brought inspiration in the light at the end of the tunnel, and longing for the Wellington sun and beach!

There are a hundred more of you who make my day brighter but time and space precludes mentioning you right this moment.

But THANK YOU!

Hope Springs Eternal but Inspiration is often Accidental

Thursday 25th Nov’21

The painting above hangs in my living room and for a lot of reasons, to me, represents Hope. It has its own story but that is not the purpose of my visit with you today. This is less about Hope and more about Accidental inspiration.

JB and I FaceTime every week as you know, me late afternoon on one day and she early morning the next day. It’s always interesting and frequently an inspiring couple hours of chat, laughter and general world-problem-solving sort of time. One of the the things we frequently bemoaned of late was the question of how we were able to blog every day years ago but could not today. Then we talked about our followers who had stayed with us over the last ten years and those whom we follow.

She had gotten on to a wonderful blog called Murder is Everywhere found at murderiseverywhere.blogspot.com many many years ago. I’m thinking about ten. It is wonderfully entertaining and is populated by a number of writers around the world. (I think it is twelve but their banner at the top says eleven.) Zoe Sharp is one. JB will be able to give you a much more intimate look into this group.

The point is that during this conversation – Inspiration struck. Could we do a joint blog? I mean we are a world apart geographically but??? Well you know the result of that. Today I just wanted to honour Murder is Everywhere and thank them for the Inspiration.
