It’s Five Word Friday on this side of the globe. JB did a brilliant post yesterday capturing five things she had learned that week. My comment to her had been that I had learned the joy of writing a page a day of my story. I mean, by then, I had consistently done 2 days in a row. And today will be my 3rd day.
I do have a problem with long term commitment so every day I succeed is something new. However the process is not at all painful as feared. I discovered it was a irrational fear blocking my progress. When I realized my fear was – what if it is crap?- my response became – who cares-.
Oh – yes back to Five Word Friday. The fact is I wrote this: IF I COULD GO BACK – the other day and my mind was full of ideas: Learn a musical instrument, and a second language, finish my degree, – lots of things.
Then the Five Words you see in the title happened today that caused all else to pale.
MY BLOUSE IS UPSIDE DOWN
And I wore it out, in public, for three hours, to meet friends for coffee and to take a stroll downtown and must admit I was feeling pretty good.
Then a sweet young lady, younger than thirty, walking along the street with her two young children approached me. I knew English was her second language when she gently said, pointing at my blouse, ’You are upside down. your blouse is upside down.
Sure enough I looked at it upside down and it was inside out.

Such things are amusing to my mind. And of course I could not change it until I finished this blog.
But now on this sunny pleasant afternoon I am off to change. And complete my one page for today. And then congratulate myself with a glass of wine and ignore the dust and laundry until tomorrow.
So from soon to be right side up North of 43 I bid you all a lovely first Friday of the month!

I can so relate.
A glass of wine and to hell with the dust!

I’ve done that travelling on a plane. No one said anything it wasn’t until I got home and looked in the mirror. But who’s to say it wasn’t a fashion statement? Sometimes when you’re upside down and inside out, a glass of wine smooths it all out. Cheers🎉

Great news on the writing each day. Long may it continue. And an upside down blouse – well one day I went out with two odd black shoes and wore them all day and it wasn’t until I got home that I realised my mistake.

Did your friends not notice? It seems they would have said something.

I called them. Said they had not noticed. A friend came who is battling cancer and chemo so the focus was not on me

😂 we were walking to the neighbors for dinner and my husband had his tshirt on inside out. And. My dad used to wear his shirts inside out. He said he could wear them twice before washing that way. You’re my kind of people Chris! 🙂
