Making Sense Where There is None to be Had

Last night I was watching The Agenda with Steve Paiken, broadcaster with TVO public broadcasting. *A very good program if you are into discussion of current affairs, in proper debate forum. Statement, each of the guests gets time to respond to statement and then sane, polite, no drama, discussion. No hype, no driving the point home, no put downs. Strictly information with differing points of view. Well presented – and the audience is left to draw their own conclusions. Practically unheard of in mainstream media today, where everything seems to have a ’spin’ or ’lean’. Respectful.

He was talking something about democracy, history, * I think. There was something else going on here so I just sort of heard it in the background but it struck a chord when he played a clip from a previous interview with Margaret Atwood as she said people talk about ’the right side of history’ but that history does not have a ‘right side’ and then mentioned The Wheel of Fortune.

I have never been a fan of her books, but love her poetry and wisdom. Here is a link to one discussion on TVO.

I am not entirely sure where I wanted to go with this post because there are some non-related issues requiring my attention, but I think it is a good thing to recognize some semblance of sanity in the world of today.

I must be off as someone at north of 43 actually is getting hair cut – first in 3 months. We are still in some kind of lock down but pursuit of beauty is allowed at 50%. Even if it means out at minus 16C

Have the loveliest day possible everyone!

One is about 43 degrees latitude N. and longitude 80 W, The other almost equidistant south latitude and longitude 174 E. Two women, two minds, different personalities and experiences, choosing a life of meaning, continual growth and learning, at the same time negating ageist opinions of exactly what ‘an old lady’ should be.

    1. No it was because I think. Conversation was in background so wasn’t sure how accurate I was on subject matter. Sorry for confusing

Haircuts, I gave myself haircuts for a year. I didn’t do a great job. But no one saw me so it didn’t matter 😂
